Wilfred Velazquez, 64, long time resident of Jackson, NJ, but recently a resident of Brooksville, FL, passed away on Saturday, January 8, 2022, at Bravera Hospital, Brooksville, Florida. Wilfred Velazquez was born on October 16, 1957 in Jersey City, NJ, and moved to Jackson, NJ, as a young child. Wilfred worked at Orgo-Thermit Inc. in Lakehurst, NJ, as a mold packer and left in 2019 due to his illness. Wilfred had many challenges in life but was able to overcome them with his faith and the support of his loved ones. Wilfred was a gentle giant with a big heart. He had a cat by the name of Multa, which was his longtime adored companion. Wilfred enjoyed playing chess, dominoes and was a diehard fan of the Washington Redskins football team.
Wilfred was preceded in death by his father, Carmelo Velazquez, mother, Epifania (Gerena) Velazquez, and also his brother Anthony Velazquez. Surviving is his beloved siblings: Carmelo Velazquez Jr. of Saint Cloud, FL; Fanny Velazquez of Jackson, NJ; Benedita Roman and her husband Ermelindo Roman of Brooksville, FL; and Enid Garcia and her husband Fredysberto Garcia of Brooksville, FL; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and loving friends.

It’s so sad to see you go Freddy I remember working in the plant with you at orgo-thermit amd we would take out lunch breaks together and even gave you rides home while I was working there might I add I loved your trailer It was such a colorful place every trailer had these bright colors and he had his black cat with him this was in 2009-2010 not sure if it was multa or not,even when I came to visit orgo as my parents still work there I would always go and say hello to Freddy,I miss you and your always in my thoughts
