VALIQUETTE, Thomas J., died August 18, 2019. He was born and raised in Toledo, OH on October 2, 1936. After serving 8 years in the Army National Guard/Air Force Reserves, he enlisted in the US Air Force in January 1963. After many assignments as an Electrician including 2 tours in Viet Nam, he was honorably retired in 1984 at the rank of Master Sergeant. Following his 29-year career in the military, he joined the Hillsboro County Sheriff dept and retired after 14 years of service as a Sheriff’s Deputy. He is proceeded in death by his loving wife of 22 years, Joy A. Valiquette. He was a beloved Father, Uncle, Grandfather and Great-Grandfather and friend to many and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He is survived by a son Thomas and wife Jackie Valiquette; two daughters Kathleen Cannon and Shirley Bissot (husband John); a niece Shelley Brown-Nigoto (husband Dan); a grandson Christopher O’Farrell; two granddaughters Amy Lippert and Shelbey Bissot; one great granddaughter Riley O’Farrell and his long-time caregiver Sandra Brown.
An interment with full military honors will take place at 11:30 am Monday, September 16, 2019 at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to your favorite Veterans charity.
