Robert Alan Michaud was born November 10, 1971 to Walter Michaud and Arlene Geisel. Though he was born in Nashua, NH, he hailed from Ayer, Mass. Robert always worked in customer service positions, be it at Checkers, Innisbrook, or Knights Inn. Robert was a people person. He was the kind of person who gave of himself and his resources any chance he had. Someone who needed a place to stay would have a bed in his home. Someone who needed a meal would be fed. Someone who needed a strong shoulder or a good laugh would receive those things in spades. Robert was selfless and kind, and boasted an amazing intellect. He loved all things sports in Boston and sci fi and the renaissance festival. But above all, he loved people.
Robert has had serious health challenges throughout his life. The last few years have been especially difficult. His sons have been there to support him however they could, with Robert predictably being more concerned for them than himself. He seemed to be improving in the last couple weeks. He was too young and it was too soon, but he slipped away on July 3, 2020.
Robert is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, James. He is survived by his sons: Alex, Daniel, and Michael; his brothers: Walter, John, Kevin, and David; his sister, Denise; his precious granddaughter, Izabella; and countless more family members and dear friends. He deeply touched the lives of everyone he ever met.
Robert’s sons are now trying to wrap their minds around life without dad. He was the very best dad anyone could ask for. He was strict when he needed to be, but he was always a friend.
In memory of Robert’s nurturing spirit, please consider helping his sons have one less worry by donating to this fund. It will give them peace of mind as they find their new normal. For anyone wanting to show support and love to the family of this amazing man, this is the most tangible way. Any donation, regardless of size, is appreciated beyond words.
