Obituary: Rita Romeo
On Tuesday, September 10, 2019, Rita G. Romeo of Port Richie Florida passed away. She was 88 years old. She was born in Brooklyn New York on October 21, 1930. She was married to Salvatore A. Romeo for over 50 years before his death on August 13, 2010.
Rita worked for many years as a registered nurse in Brooklyn, New York.
Rita is survived by her sons David Romeo (husband of Kim Romeo) of Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania and John Kreminicer of Tampa, Florida; her brothers Harold Caldeira (husband of Joan Caldeira) of Schertz, Texas, Robert Caldeira of Long Island, New York; and her sister Elaine Smurra of Naples, Florida; and numerous nieces and nephews around the country.
Both Rita and her husband Salvatore were lifelong traditional Roman Catholics. The funeral mass will be held at 11:30 AM on Saturday, September 28, 2019 at The Most Holy Trinity Seminary in Brooksville, Florida. Guests are asked to honor the appropriate dress code for entering a traditional Catholic church. The dress code may be found at the www.mostholytrinityseminary.org website.
