Dad,
You gave me strong roots so I would stay grounded, when I grew you gave me wings to fly and drive to follow my dreams. You accepted and loved me for who I am, you never tried to change me. You and Mom raised me to become the strong, independent woman and loving mother I am. You showed me never to be afraid of hard work, to accept responsibility, and it's ok to make mistakes, but most important learn from them. I will always be thankful for the love I have been blessed with in my heart, because you are my Dad. I find strength now knowing you will live on forever in our hearts.
Rest now.
Eternal love, hugs and kisses,
Your daughter, Pam

I sit here and think about all the amazing times we've had together. Like when grandma was teaching me how to sew and she let me sew one of your hand-kerchiefs. Or all the times we were out to the store with grandma shopping for groceries. I can't even name all the times I watched you tinker with something in the garage. Not only have we had some great memories together, but you have taught me so much. You've taught me to be strong and never give up even when times get tough. Everyday I wake up and can't believe your actually gone, but then I remind myself just because you're not here phsically, doesn't mean you're not here mentally. I know you will always be here watching over us. Watching me walk the stage as I graduate high school, watching me meet the love of my life, watching me graduate college, and even watching me walk down the aisle. No matter what I know you'll always be here. I'm just glad to know you're in a better place and out of pain. See you soon grandpa! Love and miss you very much!

Grandpa, you are a true man's man, someone to be looked up towards and idolized. You have been a teacher, an inspiration, a friend and a father to me. I was blessed to have 30 years to be with you. There are so many memories that we have made. I loved all of them and honestly can't pick a favorite time we shared because they are all special to me. I enjoyed all the trips to Sears to replace tools, showing me how to work on cars that I could not figure out because they were twice my age. You taught me to shave and how to tie a real tie. I thank you for all that you did that you didn't have to. There are no words to express my gratitude and love.
You may be gone but could never be forgotten!

Dad,
I wrote this poem for you,
The lord has called me to be with him today.
If it was up to me I've would have stayed.
As I left this world don't grieve or be sad.
Just remember all of the good times that we've had.
I have grown tired and weary becoming old, fragile and weak.
I could no longer walk on my own or speak.
You all fulfilled my last request.
Letting me come home to be at rest.
You all took care of me the best you could of.
Now I am in heaven as I watch over you from above.
I ask that you do not shed for me a tear.
Just think of me as if I if I was still here.
I know it's going to be hard not seeing me.
No more pain and suffering with the Lord I am resting peacefully.
I ask that everyone be strong and carry on.
For my memory will alway's be with you for in Heaven I'll never be gone.
Rest in peace Dad I'll never forget you
alway's in my heart you will be.
Love your son Robert

Grandpa,
We all didn't want to see you leave, but we all know you are in a better place now and can finally rest. All of your hard work, and love for this family has inspired us all. You may no longer be here with us, but you will always be in our hearts. Just remember grandpa the saying grandma has told us, "Marines never die, they just simply fade away." Until we meet again grandpa! I love you & miss you!
Love Always,
Your Grandson

Dad ,
I just want to let you know as I sit here and write this . While I will be on the road it won't be the same knowing when I come home I will miss seeing you . Everytime I walked in and saw you smile and asked me if I was staying for awhile . You always ask me where I was headed next and did I buy another truck yet . I would give you a shave or haircut when I dropped in . Those memories I will cherish forever they are priceless . Not seeing you or hearing your voice will take time adjusting to . I will never forget the last two weeks spending with you before the Lord called you home . Rest in peace Dad I will see you again someday .
Love your son Robert .

My Dad: He was a marine, father of 7, provider and husband of 57 years, the one I still called daddy even when i grew up. I miss him so much wish I could see him one more time. I would tell him I love him and how I am exactly like him.and how I am happy that him and my mom loved each other the way they did, that I hope my marriage has the strength and love there's did. That I am sorry you faced pain and I couldn't be there more often. I wish I could tell you that my best memory was eating pepperoni on your lap and my worst was seeing you sick. I want to tell you that I will always try and do the right thing in life and provide, love and be a true spouse like you were. I miss you and wish you were still here daddy for me to tell you all this!

Dad,
The Journey Home
We start our journey as spirit children from celestial heights in our
Heavenly home far above. Our Father bless us and give a purpose he then send us on our way.His teachings gives us wisdom and fill our hearts with love. There is only one thing we need is a grateful heart each and everyday.
Our parents here on earth give us guidance and allow us room to grow.As first as babies we learn to crawl on our knees. They teach us lessons to help our mind grow. This allows our spirit inside us to soar like the seagulls over the oceans. Before too long our bodies grow up even more, we begin to learn to walk then to run along way.
We do not know if this journey we travel will be short or long. There will be storms and darkness we will encounter along the way. Let us live our Lives as best as we can and may our faith in God always be strong. We should remember to read and listen to God's words and don't forget to pray. Let us always be positive and focus on all the good things our Heavenly Father will provide to us before our journey is done.
Love your son ~ Richard

Dad, I am forever grateful for the love we shared together. Thanks to you and Mom,I've become a strong minded, caring, independent person.I have a strong and solid marriage of 28 years to Mike. Thanks to you both allowing me to make my own path. It's been the best years being here close to you and you always loved him knowing he would always care for me.I will never forget when we finally told you both we were moving to Florida. The last 4 years have been fun, sharing holidays and family milestones together.Lastly,Dad,I wouldn't trade the world just looking at you sitting in my favorite chair, taking in all the laughter and love that a family could share. Till we meet again,my heart will ache wishing only for you to skake your fist at me one more time, rest peacefully,I will love you forever, your daughter, Patricia

Seeing what you have done with 7 kids astonishes me. I only hope I can be 1/2 of what you were. Now that GOD has taken your hand once again hold on tight he will guide you on your path to eturinty.
