Phyllis Marguerite “Marge” D’Amato
Born on March 20, 1929 in Brooklyn, New York to Leander and Gladys Spooner Smith of St. Johns, Newfoundland. Marguerite went to be with the Lord on April 24, 2019 at the home of her granddaughter, Christine, of Wichita Falls, Texas. She is proceeded in heavenly voyage by her beloved husband of 55 years, Fidel; her sister, Audrey of New York; and her brother, Leonard of New York.
Marguerite is survived by two sons, Ronald of Texas and Paul of Florida; grandchildren, Christine Knudson of Texas, Nico D’Amato of California, and Shannon and Danielle of California; great-grandchildren, Kayla Knudson of Texas, Kyler Knudson of Colorado, and Elise and Madison D’Amato of California; cousin and best friend, Phyllis Fielder of Florida; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank Angel Care, Visiting Angels, and Hospice for the excellent care and compassion they provided to Marguerite.
Arrangements by Michels and Lundquist funeral home, located at 5228 Trouble Creek Road, New Port Richey, Florida 34652. Hampton Vaughan Crestview funeral home in Wichita Falls, Texas also assisted in arrangements and transportation.
A visitation will take place at Michels and Lundquist funeral home on Friday, May 3, 2019 at 9:00 am. A funeral service will take place at the funeral home at 10:00 am. Interment will follow at 2:00 pm at the Florida National Cemetery, located at 6503 SW 102nd Avenue, Bushnell, Florida 33513.
