Minnie R. Baughman

January 9, 1926 - September 7, 2019

Minnie Baughman, 93, of Port Richey, passed away at 10:22am September 7, 2019. It was a sad day for our family. She was all kinds of fabulous, fun, and so much love. She lived a wonderful life! She loved to dance and was always up for anything new. She took hours to get ready, because one simply cannot leave the house without matching earrings, purse, shoes, necklace, bracelets, rings, and lipstick. She was old world Hollywood, but also knew how to pick up a shovel. She was gorgeous and she knew it. She was still turning heads at 93. We sure are going to miss her and this all seems so unreal. If anyone was going to live forever we thought for sure it would be her. Love You Forever.
She was born January 9,1926 to Roy and Cordelia (Meldren) Loper in Linwood, MI. After graduating from Central High she was one of the first women welders for WWII at Grand Blanc Tank Plant. She retired from General Motors. She was a long-term member of the American Legion and one of the first members of the Eagles in Flint, Michigan. She was preceded in death by her Husbands, Charles Dewar and John Baughman; Parents, Roy and Cordelia; Grandsons, Justin Dewar and Roman Katrinic; and Son-in-law, William Hofer.
Minnie is survived by Son, Randy Dewar (Mary); Daughters, Linda Dewar Hofer and Connie Katrinic and her husband, Bob Katrinic; Granchildren: Shelly (Paul), Heather (Kevin), Chad (Trina), Amber (Steve), Nicholas (Jessica), Robert (Bree), Tara, Leah (Brandon), and Adam (Brittany); nineteen loving greatgrandchildren; and her beloved parrot, “Jocko”.
