Mary Ellen Ziesmer (Hastings) of Tarpon Springs, was a caring wife, sister, grandmother, and friend who left this world suddenly on April 20th at the age of 75. Mary Ellen was born in Green Bay, Wisconsin. She graduated from The University of Michigan with a Bachelors in Finance.  Mary Ellen married David Sr. on April 18th, 1964; they just celebrated their 58th Wedding Anniversary. Mary Ellen enjoyed golfing, shopping, reading, and spending time with her family. She was also actively involved in her church and neighborhood communities.

Mary Ellen is survived by her husband David Lee Ziesmer Sr., her children Rebecca (Homer) and David Jr., her sister Debbie (Ralph) and Cindy (Carl), and her grandchildren BJ, Andrew (Kristin), Duane (Stephanie), Kevin (Emily), Brianna, and Lucas.

 

A viewing will be held on Monday April 25th at Michel’s & Lundquist Funeral Home in New Port Richey, FL from 1pm to 5pm, with a memorial service beginning at 2pm. A celebration of life will be held in Lincoln Park, MI at a later date.

    Poochie was more like a mother to me then a mother in law when I was.married to David. She was very very very special lady. Even though I left the family she made sure to tell me that she's still my Mom and she will always love me. Hope she is playing golf in Heaven with Betty Queen. My condolences to everyone. She's is truley going to be missed. ❤
