Passed Away: November 20, 2014

Mark Whitney, 58, of New Port Richey, died Thursday November 20, 2014 near Tampa in a tragic car accident.
Mark was CEO of Whitney and Son Seafoods in Hudson, Florida.
Mark Whitney started Whitney Son Seafoods with his parents in 1972 and took over the company when his father James Whitney passed away. He not only took extreme pride in his work, but truly relished the friends he made during his time in business. Over the years, his sales expertise and reputation led him to have a very successful life full of family and friends. Mark was well loved by everyone!
He was an avid golfer, he was a longtime member of Innisbrook Country Club. He enjoyed fishing, traveling, hunting, and his motorcycle and was a longtime member of The Gaucho Association of Tampa.
He leaves behind his mother Marlene Whitney, his Daughter, Nicole Fitzpatrick (Kerry Fitzpatrick, husband), Son Marc Whitney, Son Corbin Whitney, and his companion Cindy Colon, 5 grandchildren, Spencer, Logan, Lily, Bretin, and Alex and many close friends.
A Memorial Mass will be held 11:30 A.M. Monday, November 24th at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church 5340 High Street in New Port Richey. There will also be a gathering from 1-4 p.m. Monday, followed by a 4:00 p.m. Memorial Service at the Michels & Lundquist Funeral home in New Port Richey.
