Margaret N "Peggy" Ledig

December 22, 1919 - April 3, 2016

Ledig, Margaret (Peggy) N, 96, of Tampa, passed on April 3, 2016. Margaret was born on December 22, 1919 in Brookline, MA to the late, Edward and Catherine Nixon. She is predeceased by children, Paula Braganti Sirois and Richard Braganti; sisters, Mary Corrado and Eileen Hoepner; brothers, Edward (Sally) and John Nixon; and son-in-law, Richard McGiness. Margaret is survived by her husband of 38 years, Charles W. Ledig; daughter, Sandra McGiness and her family; sister, Frances McDonald; sister-in-law, Annie Nixon and several nieces and nephews. Margaret was a graduate of Hickox School of Business in Boston, MA. She worked for Arthur D. Little Inc. of Cambridge, MA from 1956 to 1983, working at the ADL Information Center, involved in computerized information retrieval. She was a former member of Cypress Run Golf Club for 25 years, Woods Hole Golf Club for 22 years, the Falmouth Yacht Club, Falmouth Sports Center, and Norwood Tennis club in Massachusetts. She enjoyed playing golf, tennis, bridge, dominoes, Mahjongg, gardening, and reading. She was also a long time volunteer with Girl Scouts of America, working as a troop leader and camp counselor in Newton Centre, MA. Interment will be held in Falmouth, MA at a later date. Memorial contributions may be sent to Dana Farber Cancer Institute and The Jimmy Fund, PO Box 970025, Boston, MA 02297-0025 or to a charity of your choice.
