John Richard Bains, Jr. age 61, peacefully went to heaven on March 21, 2015. Born May 4, 1953, he was a loving and devoted father and grandfather. He taught all those around him the value of honesty, charity, hard work, and dedication. He had a way of making everyone around him feel safe and secure, and he never made a promise he didn’t keep. He will be in our hearts forever.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, March 28 at 11 am at Christian Church of Holiday, 5724 State Road 54, New Port Richey. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Christian Church of Holiday, Building Fund. He is survived by two daughters, Sarah and Megan; his soul-mate Jacquelyn, four grandchildren; and two brothers.

    John was a dear friend who will be missed by Stanley and I. We were always able to find humor in all situations. We know how much he missed his Mother, we can relate to hiss loss.     Read notice about your dad. I am saddened by your loss, and I am sure he will be missed by all who knew him

    It's good to see he has 4 grands. That means, Sarah and Megan, you are carrying your father's life into the future.

    I mentioned the notice to Mrs Kile (clinic) and Jodie(can't remember last name) who was good friends with Megan, and to Mrs Kish-Rowell, who I think had Megan one year. There aren't many teachers left at MGES from when you were there.
    I retired after 2012, Coach Garner didi in 2014, all that's left are Mrs. Tumolo, Mrs. Crane, and Mrs. Kish-Rowell.

    I'd love to hear how you two have fared over the years. If you wish to fill me in email to sgtrock@tampabay.rr.com. I remember your faces so well, and all the good you brought to MGES.
