Friends and loved ones will gather to share stories from their own personal memories of Jerry and celebrate the incredible journey that was his life.
Jerrys son in law Richard had been clearing out the trees and brush from their back yard and he & Jerry came over to our home to introduce themselves.
The very first thing I notice about Jerry was his smile,
It was almost the kind of smile of someone who knew a private joke and wasn't letting anybody else in on it, and over the many times we were together at Carols that smile was always there.
I believe that smile was also an affirmation of his contentment.
That contentment and pride was evidenced when he spoke of his wife, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Wealthy or Rich
Wealthy is defined as An abundance of valuable material possessions
Although Jerry lamented a few times about not having been a really wealthy man, he was in fact a very rich man.
He was an accomplished master cabinet maker and had the satisfaction of doing what he loved and was able to do it in his own business. In his later years he took great joy in making his model ships one in particular was an exact scale model of the SS Minnow that he made for Royale
He was married to Carol a loving & caring wife who blessed him with
with three beautiful daughters, Who intern gave him
Four Grandchildren and Seven Great Grandchildren
All of whom honored and adored him.
He told me that in his 88 years he had no regrets and that he had lived a good life.
In my opinion Jerry was indeed a very, very rich man.
And although Jerry may not be physically here I do believe that he is watching and listening to us tonight and he is still smiling that secretive little smile of his.
