Hammond, James Willis Jr, 59, of New Port Richey, passed away peacefully on August 23, 2014. James was born on August 5, 1955 in Lexington, Virginia. His parents were James and Joanne Hammond. James came to Florida in 1978 from Buena Vista, Virginia. He worked as an automobile mechanic for many years. He enjoyed NASCAR racing and spending time with his family. He is survived by his loving wife, Jeanne Hammond; his daughters, Janice Hammond & Joanne Sureda; and his sisters, Vicky Vaughn & Trista (Tom). A visitation is to be held at the Michels & Lundquist Funeral Home on Thursday, August 28, 2014 from 10 am to 12 pm and 4 pm until 6 pm.
