Thayer, James F. 85, of Newport Richey, FL. passed away on December 8, 2015. He was born in Newbury, CT. to Minot and Ethyl (Coffin) Thayer and moved to Florida in 1987, coming from Tewksbury, MA. James was a U.S. Navy Veteran, serving from 1947 – 1957. He was a Union Carpenter during his working career and of the Methodist faith. James was a member of the American Legion, Amvets, N.C.O. and VFW Post 7845 of Port Richey, FL. He is survived by his very loving family including his companion of 26 1/2 years Lillian Kreps and step-son, Stephen (Cynthia) Coelyn.

There will be a Memorial Service on Thursday, December 17, 2015 at 2:00 pm at the Michels & Lundquist Funeral Home.
