Bowman, James “Jim” Edison; 67, passed away on April 6, 2017 in Land O’ Lakes, Florida. Jim was born in Dayton, Ohio to Edison & Doris Bowman and worked as a Plans Examiner Supervisor dedicated to his job for over 20 years. He was a Vietnam Veteran who honorably served our country in the U.S. Navy. Jim enjoyed building things and just tinkering around the house, boating, fishing, and mostly spending time with his family! He was especially fond of his grandchildren and loved them dearly. He is survived by his children Jennifer Kriel(Shon) & Christopher Bowman; father Edison Bowman; brother Michael Bowman; and 2 grandchildren Nicholas & Alyssa Kriel. He was predeceased by his sister Sue Ann Casson. A gathering of family and friends will take place from 3:00~5:00 on Sunday, April 9, 2016 at Michels & Lundquist Funeral Home. Jim will be laid to rest at Florida National Cemetery with military honors at a later date.

I am very saddened to have just heard of this news of Jimmy's passing and so sorry to have missed his service. Jim was such a great guy, and true gentleman...I was honored to call him my friend. He will be forever missed but never forgotten. RIP
