Gerald "Jerry" Rhodes

November 8, 1949 - April 23, 2020

Gerald “Jerry” Rhodes, passed away peacefully on April 22, 2020.  Retired, he and his wife lived in Trinity, Florida.  Jerry was a long time resident of Rensselaer, New York.

Among his many accomplishments were coaching little league baseball, the pee wees and for the girls softball team at Rensselaer High School.

Jerry was a life long member of Hills Hook & Ladder, he was a volunteer fire fighter for 25 years.

Until recently he was a member of the Pasco County Sheriffs Office, where he served as a member of the Citizens in Policing Unit (CSU).  He will be dearly missed by his fellow officers and all who knew him.

He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Betty; his son, Tim Rhodes; his stepdaughter, Janice Valentine; and his many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

The burial will be held in Middleburg, New York, where he spent so many happy times as a child.  Services will be at a later date.
