Menier, George K, 89, of New Port Richey, passed away on August 23, 2015. George was born on December 22, 1925 in Chicago, Illinois. George proudly served his country during World War II in the United States Navy. He later went on to work as a plant manager manufacturing bottle caps for Crown Cork and Seal in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
George was preceded in death by his brother, Fritz Menier. He is survived by his loving wife, Antoinette; his daughter, Georganna (Richard) Felt; sister, Sandra Petersen; grandson, Bryan Felt (Dee Ashbrook); granddaughter, Dana (Josh) Bohn; and great-grandson, Maxston Andrew Bohn.
A visitation is to be held at the Michels and Lundquist Funeral Home on Monday, August 31, 2015 from 9 to 11 am. A funeral service is to follow at 11 am. George will then be honored for his courageous service with military honors at the Florida National Cemetery at 2 pm. George will be laid to rest in the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida with his fellow comrades.
