Frances Louise Mishler

June 25, 1955 - April 17, 2022

Frances Louise Mishler (Smith), 66, of Port Richey, passed away on April 17, 2022 leaving her daughter, Amanda; son-in law, Darren; two grandsons; and siblings, Katie and Mike. Frances was born in Indianapolis, IN on June 25, 1955 and made lifelong friends at Warren Central High School. She graduated in 1977 with a BS in Communications from Purdue University in West Lafayette, IN which is also where she met her husband, William “Bill” Mishler (and they married one week after graduation!).

Frances became a retail buyer for L.S. Ayres after college until she decided to focus on being a mom for her two daughters. She and her family moved from Indiana to Naples, FL in 1991 and in 1993 she and her husband opened Great Florida Insurance in Port Richey, FL. Frances also flexed her creative skills by operating various side businesses throughout her life making gift baskets, stained glass and mosaic art.

She enjoyed fishing and swimming with her husband in Naples, FL, eating seafood, loving her many furry friends (Willy, Mimi, Romeo, Ginger, and Lady), and spending as much time as possible with her two silly grandsons.  She starts this next journey joining her parents; husband (William Mishler 1955-2012); and youngest daughter (Laura Mishler 1983-2021). Fran will be missed by many for her sarcastic sense of humor and kindness she gave to all throughout her life.

A viewing is being held on Saturday, April 23, 2022 at Michel’s & Lundquist Funeral Home in New Port Richey, FL from 10:00 am-11:00 am with memorial services beginning at 11:00 am. Flowers, donations to Gulfside Hospice or the Ocean Conservatory are suggested by the family.

What our families say...

“When my sister-in-law passed away unexpectedly, me and my family were thrust into this process for the first time. Charlie Webster was my first and only contact with Michels & Lundquist and he was FANTASTIC from start to finish. He was sensitive, understanding and fully explained the process and made things easy for me during a very difficult time. The services were carried out flawlessly and the pricing was very reasonable. I am very thankful for his kind words and conscientious work. I would HIGHLY recommend Michels & Lundquist and Mr. Webster.”
