Fotini Mylonakis

Passed Away: September 28, 2019

Fotini Mylonakis was born and raised in Greece. She came to America 52 years ago. She was married to her husband, Michael, for 67 years and raised three lovely children together: Steve, Pete, and Irene. Her caring nature was not only evident in being a great wife, mother and grandmother. It was also apparent in her career as a nurse’s aide working in nursing homes, caring for the elderly.

Fotini loved to cook and bake. She had a great appreciation for music and enjoyed dancing. She traveled whenever she could. More than anything, she adored spending time with people she cared about. She true had a passion for helping others. Fotini had a great smile and a contagious laughter right up until the day she passed on.

Fotini was the true matriarch of her family. She ensured that her family was always taken care of and that they took priority over all else. She started and carried on traditions of time spent together with family, whether it was cooking, baking for the holidays, attending Orthodox church, playing cards, movie going, traveling, or simply watching the sunset together. Her family will forever remember those special moments shared and will sorely feel her absence as they continue those traditions in remembrance of her.

Fotini had lived with epilepsy and grand mal seizures since she was 19 years old. She was a survivor, even through her hip replacement in her late 50s, though her constitution weakened. The last five years of her life took a real toll on her. She became wheelchair bound and her body just couldn’t fight anymore.

Fotini’s family is reeling from the loss of their rock. She was always the one taking care of them, and now it’s time for them to honor her legacy. Please help this family through this most difficult time by donating to this fund. It will ease the burden of this tragic loss and allow them to start the healing and rebuilding of their family. No amount is too small, and every donation is appreciated beyond words. If you are looking for the best way to show your love and support for this wonderful family, this is it.

Thank you in advance for your kind generosity.

What our families say...

“When my sister-in-law passed away unexpectedly, me and my family were thrust into this process for the first time. Charlie Webster was my first and only contact with Michels & Lundquist and he was FANTASTIC from start to finish. He was sensitive, understanding and fully explained the process and made things easy for me during a very difficult time. The services were carried out flawlessly and the pricing was very reasonable. I am very thankful for his kind words and conscientious work. I would HIGHLY recommend Michels & Lundquist and Mr. Webster.”
