Platt, Elbert E, 86, of Port Richey passed away on May 13, 2014. Elbert was born in Herkimer, New York on September 9, 2014 to his parents, Elmer and Olive Platt. Elbert worked for many years as an electronic engineer and also proudly served in the United States Army during World War II. Elbert moved to Florida 42 years ago from the New York/New Jersey area and was a local member of the Oldsmar Baptist Church. He is survived by his loving wife, Freda; sons, Charles, Terry, and Elbert Platt; daughters, Linda Davis, Sandy Whitlock, and Ruth Platt; stepsons, Paul, Jerry, and Buddy Benedict; stepdaughters, Sharron Platt, Carol Schneebeli, and Judith Sholar; 17 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
