Diana Jovic, age 41, of New Port Richey, passed away May 12, 2021 after a courageous seven-year battle with ovarian cancer. Diana was born August 15, 1979 in Pula, Croatia to Sam and Dusanka Kajtezovic. She came stateside with her family November 11, 1999. She married her devoted husband, Jovo, in March of 2004 and they have two beautiful daughters together, Mila and Maja.
Diana simply loved life. She was an avid reader, she enjoyed music, she explored the great outdoors – from mountains to beaches and everything in between, and she cared deeply for animals. She was an exceptional person. Even through her illness, she was a ray of light and a beacon of hope. Diana spread smiles and love everywhere she went. Her life is a true inspiration, and her memory will be cherished by all who had the privilege to know her.
Diana is survived by her husband, Jovo; their daughters, Mila and Maja; her parents, Sam and Dusanka Kajtezovic; and her sister, Ivana Kajtezovic.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Friday, May 21, from 1pm to 3pm with a service to follow at 3pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family would instead ask that donations be made to Moffitt Cancer Center or the Ovarian Cancer Research Alliance. Those were the two organizations Diana donated to heavily, and she’d prefer supporting those worthy causes over receiving flowers. Thank you in advance for your thoughtful generosity.

I met Diana at Moffitt Cancer Center. I met her in the Infusion Center at Moffitt International Plaza. She was a very nice patient to take care of. Her and I became fast friends. I was transferred to blood draw where I had the opportunity to treat her for the past few years. She was always smiling and cheerful. She definitely will be missed by everyone she touched. ❤️❤️❤️❤️
