Charles Edward Gmitter

March 20, 1939 - January 2, 2016


Charles Edward Gmitter, 76, of Spring Hill, FL,  passed away Saturday, January 2, 2016.  Born in Norfolk, VA, he served his country during Vietnam in the Coast Guard, after which he worked for the Virginia Beach Police Department and retired as a Master Patrolman.

He was a member of the American Legion #335, VFW Post 6180,  and the FOE 4208 all of Hudson, FL.  He was also Past Grand Chef De Gare, FL.

Charles is survived by his wife Carole Ann, and three brothers: Roy, James, and Tom; a grand daughter Heather, and great grandson Hunter.

He will be laid to rest next to his son with Military Honors 11:00am Thursday, January 7 at Florida National Cemetery.
