Alyssa Jean Mulroy, 19, of New Port Richey, passed away on Wednesday, June 1st, 2016. Born in New Port Richey on January 11th, 1997, Alyssa was the daughter of devoted parents, Erin and Mike, and a wonderful older sister to her younger brother, Adam. She was a 2015 graduate of Gulf High School where she was a member of the National Honor Society, National English and Math Honor Societies, Student Council, Leo Club, and was a four-year varsity softball player. She had also just finished her first year of college at the University of South Florida where she majored in Business and earned her Associate’s Degree a year early. Alyssa excelled in school as well as on the softball field, receiving many awards for both. She was an incredibly intelligent, funny, and loving person who was passionate about dogs and music. Of all her activities, Alyssa’s favorite was spending time with her family. Along with her loving parents and brother, Alyssa leaves behind grandparents, Pete and Ellen Beck, and Yolanda Mulroy, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and an incredible extended family.
A gathering of family and friends is to take place at the Michels & Lundquist Funeral Home on Tuesday, June 7, 2016 from 4:30 pm until 6:30 pm. A celebration of life is to follow at the funeral home starting at 6:30 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family please ask for donations to be made in her memory to the Labrador Retriever Rescue of Florida Foundation.

Erin, MIke, and Adam, words cannot express our absolute sorrow and hearbreak over the loss of Alyssa. She was so fun, smart, and witty-and loved by so many. She was a member of our family-our other daughter. She will be forever loved and missed.
