Oscar Mizell "Bud" Smartt

Smartt, Oscar “Bud” Mizell, 82, of New Port Richey, passed February 19, 2017. Bud was born May 26, 1934, in Morrison, Tennessee, to the late, Etheridge Smartt and Hazel Beaty. Bud courageously served in the United States Air Force for 21 years and retired as a Master Sergeant. Bud is survived by his loving wife, Linda; children, Susan (Bob) Yaple, John (Kathy) Smartt, Cindy (Curt) Nunn, Jody (Rod) Rynkiewicz, and Sherrie (Robert) Dunn; 14 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and one great-grandchild due in May. He will be remembered as a very kind and gentle man. A gathering of family and friends is to take place at the Michels-Lundquist Funeral Home, Friday, March 10, 2017 from 9:30- 11:30 am, with a memorial service to follow at 11:30 am. A military honors service will follow at 2 pm, at the Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL.
