Irene L. Hayden of Dunedin, FL, 88, passed away peacefully on September 15, 2016. She is the daughter of the late Harold and Lillian Comey. Born on July 8, 1928, Irene was raised by Hugh and Marion Slattery in New York where she also raised her own family. She also lived and worked in Washington, DC-Northern Virginia until she retired to Florida where she remained until her death.
Irene is survived by her loving children; Vincent P. Hayden Jr, Michael J. Hayden (wife Jean), Sharon A. Houston (husband Bill), Doreen E. Hayden-Cote (husband Dennis), Jeffrey J. Hayden (wife Lisa) and Paul J. Hayden. Also surviving are ten grandchildren: Vincent Hayden III., Michael Hayden (wife Jenn), Kimberley Chacon (husband Enrico), Arthur Hayden, Michael Hayden (wife Nicole), Matthew Houston (wife Christina), Amy Houston (husband Chris), Adam Cote, Andrew Hayden and Sean Hayden; eight great-grandchildren and one brother, Paul Yengst (wife Martha).
Irene was also preceded in death by her sister Mary Sullivan, great-grandson Joseph Hayden, and granddaughter Aimee Hayden.
