Frank R. Klausch 93 a longtime resident of New Port Richey, passed away Saturday, January 30, 2016 surrounded by his family. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of almost 68 years, Marie; his son and daughter-in-law, James and Yvette Klausch; 3 grandchildren, Eric Klausch, Heidi Sherman and Christopher and his wife, Sharon Klausch. Also surviving are his beloved great-grandchildren, Dylan, Braden, Trinity, Tristan, Damien, and Joseph and Jocelyn. He is also survived by his brother, Robert and his wife Barbara and several nieces and nephews. He was an honorably discharged Army veteran who was wounded during WWII earning the Purple Heart, Bronze Star and several other medals for bravery and good conduct. He was born in Chicago, but moved to New Port Richey in 1961 where he faithfully served his fellow veterans as the West Pasco County Veterans Service officer, helping countless numbers of veterans. He also assisted in many aspects of growing Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church. Frank was a member of the New Port Richey D.A.V. where he served as Past Commander and Past District Commander, a member of the VFW, the American Legion and the Knights of Columbus Third and Fourth Degree. He was instrumental in the day to day operations of the West Pasco Pregnancy Center and also helped to start West Pasco Hospital (now NorthBay) where he sat on the Board for several years and several other community services too numerous to mention. His love for his community and church were evident in everything he did. He was faithful to his community, his family and to his God. He was a beautiful man and will be loved and missed by all. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 3 from 2- and 6-8 pm at Michels Lundquist Funeral Home 5228 Trouble Creek Rd. New Port Richey 34652. A Mass of the Resurrection will be offered on Thursday at 10 am at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church with military honors being rendered and entombment to follow at North Meadowlawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Debt Reduction Fund of Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church 5340 High Street New Port Richey, FL. 34652.
