Alan Scott Miller, 61, passed away after a long illness on November 5, 2016. He was the son of Bernard and Elaine Miller of Delray Beach, FL.
Alan attended Hofstra University and Stetson Law School. He worked at The Pasco Pinellas State Attorney’s Office, later to work at the Allgood firm. Alan then went into practice establishing Ellrod and Miller, P.A., subsequently to practice as a sole practitioner in New Port Richey. While Alan loved his work, his passion was softball. He played for many years while also sponsoring many teams in the community, trophies and championships too numerous to mention. Being a native New Yorker, one could never take the Yankee spirit away from Alan, he was a life-long Yankee fan.
Besides his parents he is survived by his loving wife, Brenda Miller; brother, Dr. Robert Miller (and wife Andrea), sister Randi Miller-Tartaro (and husband Victor). He was a stepfather to Kelly Jacobs, Krissy McCord (and husband Brett) and Kerrie Palmateer (and husband Danny). Alan was an uncle to Janelle and Talia Tartaro, grandfather to Corey Carter Jacobs, Logan and Brett McCord and Chase Palmateer.
